Got the fender unbolted this afternoon; some wires are still connected inside of the crumpled mess. The cold/wind is keeping me away from it today, or I'd probably have the axle out and the frame on jackstands....
I found a potential replacement candidate on Friday, but the seller is totally non-responsive. I can't understand why someone would go through the trouble to advertise a vehicle and then be unresponsive to potential buyers... frustrating. Anyway, search continues as we autopsy this utility pole victim...
I found some frame specs on line... Based on the collision damage, seems best to measure the cross between mounts (core support to cab support - 1465.4 mm), but I'm thinking the engine is going to be in the way. Dang, need a tram gauge right about now... anyone in the WPA area have one I can borrow
I ran into that when I was looking for axles they even seen my message. Maybe they listed it to make the wife happy?... also sent you a pm I do have a tram gauge

I'll take out a second mortgage for the gas.
In all reality, a road-trip this spring wouldn't hurt my feelings. I would be happy to tip a few with you guys.

Heck I wouldn't mind that at all, I would enjoy that! Hanging with people that feel the same about the 2nd gens as me. I was in your state about 16 times but was all for work and no time for play or I would have swung in. I must warm you though us Texans are like a horse who ran 6 miles in 100° heat at the watering hole when it comes to drinking...we also like our analogies if you run out of gas just call me I'll your it the rest of the way and you can pay almost $3 here in PA for gas. Our gas is much better then the rest of the world that's why we pay more (sarcasm)
I just had two beers in memory of a good friend who died yesterday due to a heart attack. Be safe everyone, hug your loved ones, stay safe, enjoy God's world. Blessings!
