vol 3 has 600 pages of section 21. Vol4 has 601 to 9?? Of section 21. I was only expecting 2 books. LOL. Now I know why it's such a pain to scroll through the electric version.

This is a little closer to what we're envisioning. Maybe a hard folding tonneau cover and stainless trim along the bottom.

We wonder how one of the new boxes with the boxes in the bedside would look on this truck. Would it even fit and kind of match the body lines?

I'm beginning to wonder about mechanics, well, technicians today. I have an electronic copy of the service manual for my CX-5. It goes into great detail for basic things a good experienced mechanic should know. Finding the critical details that are unique to the beast is really difficult. I know a lot is about electronics, but the mechanical things are pretty much the same over years and makes. Sorry, I'm beginning to rant and I try to avoid that. Old service books from years past, like a '93 Dakota I used to have, are the size of one volume of the posters new books.

Yes, it's a hell of a pile of information to dig through to find what you're looking for.

This has the 231HD transfer case. Do they need the Gill's Transfer Case Saver, or just the regular 231? Also, with 85,000 miles would the limited slip need new clutches?

231, 241, both need the t-case saver, regardless of whether they are DHD DLD, or simply "D" cases. I think the only difference between the regular cases, and the HD fellers is, the HD fellers get a slightly wider chain.

Thank you. Do you think the limited slip rear end needs new clutches? I don't have a clue how long they last.

Do a burnout and see if both tires spin. As for the service manuals they have to go over everything. Not to mention all the torque settings, theory or operation and everything else you can think of. One thing that angers me is they have to spread the electrical diagrams all over the place. You need to look something up and it's on 5 different pages. Showing a circuit from start to finish on one or two pages would be much better.
