Default P1391

My 97 1500 5.9 runs good but is still throwing a P1391 code. I had the crank position sensor replaced by the dealership. I replaced the distributor too about a year ago. Runs good just annoying still having the code come up. Plugs and wires are about a year old. Tried a different pcm stil get the code. While looking underneath the truck I noticed a ground wire next to the crank sensor was burnt by the header not sure if it's related. Anybody have any ideas what it could be?

Well, since you replaced everything else, it is most likely a wiring issue. Might just be a bad connection somewhere.

Do you think it could be something with the timing chain stretching or jumped after replacing cam and crank sensors? Has 125k miles not sure if could be bad already.

Use a mechanics stethoscope to see if the noise is coming from the timing cover

Wheres the best place to try and hear the timing chain? Underneath the truck or under the hood toward the middle of the motor?
