I have a 01 ram 1500 off road with 16x7 alloy rims. When I checked the glove box I found the original window sticker that states off road edition came with 17x8 inch alloys. My question is why would someone trade down or did it just come with 16's from the dealer ?

 

16s were on all the other Rams so probably needed rims

 

Are they stock rims??? ORE should have had the 17's.

 

If it was used for offloading, they might have wanted more tire and less rim. I prefer that myself. You get more sidewall flex out of your tires.
