Wheel spacer question
I have a 94 dodge ram 1500 5.9 and the front fenders are starting to get alittle rusted on the bottom lip, and I was wanting to put fender flairs on the ones I found were 2.5 inch coverage and I was thinking of a 2 inch wheel spacer, i don't have a lift on 17inch rims with 265s im curous of 2 inch spacers will clear turning fine, and I want it to be proportioned even sorta with the flair
Put wider tires on it.
I am just not a fan of spacers, and that most certainly colors my opinions. So, with that in mind..... spacers move the center-line of the wheel outwards, increasing the arc the tire travels thru when turning, and giving it a larger diameter as well. Will they actually hit anything? Only way to tell is to experiment. What works for some folks, doesn't for others..... Of course, it also increases side loads on wheel bearings, ball joints, etc..... so, expect to replace them more often.

I work in a shop so its not bad for me to replace that stuff, I'm not a fan of spacers either I just don't want it to look un proportioned with fender flairs, I just got brand new tires so thats kinda not a option
That makes sense. No idea if 2" spacers are going to cause the tires to rub anywhere though. Probably have to try it, and see what happens.
