98 Ram New Project truck
Also ran into a flex a lite setup from a 2nd gen with a Cummins. I don't have a diesel radiator to measure off but is there any reason it wouldn't work on my truck? Maybe i should upgrade to a diesel radiator if it doesn't? Flex a lite doesn't list a kit for 2nd gen gas
I think the radiator is physically larger, but, the mounts for it should still be there. (or, should be able to move existing mounts to accommodate it.) Gonna need the upper and lower shroud as well, (if you are keeping the mechanical fan.....) Also, I do believe the inlet/outlet are larger diameter on the diesel and v-10 radiators.

You might be correct on port size, only reason for changing would be to make the flex a lite kit work so shroud wouldn't be necessary
Not sure I would even bother with the stock heads.... They are prone to cracking due to the deck casting being kinda thin. There are new castings available, that are better... and aren't hideously expensive.
Do you recommend a source?
Theoretically, those are better heads. Be sure to make sure you get the version of those you want though. I think they come in two different flavors, valve sizes being the difference.
Lots of folks sell the heads, but, so far as I know, they all use the same castings. (except EQ, not sure where they get theirs..... supposedly a different casting than the stockers....) So, whoever has the best deal would be the one to get my money.
