There was many accidents on it and in the 90's they finally made it one lane each side. This is for show not practicality.

I read some. Oh yeah you would need to watch where you drive

In 1960 Ford full sized cars were downsized a bit. This was because Uncle Sam said the 1959 cars were so large newer ones would have to have clearance lights.

I did not know that. That's some neat information! Was it the same for Mopar?

As far as I know, Chrysler and GM weren't warned.Chrysler did down size slightly in the 1961 or '62 era, but the 1959 Fords were huge. I ran a salvage yard in the early 80's and and we had trouble moving them around as normal spaces for cars in storage were a bit cramped for them.

I have seen this truck for sale multiple times on eBay for $70k if i recall and on local classifieds months later. I wonder if it keeps changing hands or the owner just cant sell it.

Amazing amount of custom work in there that would be generally unappreciated by casual onlookers. You know it was done well when you can't immediately pick out the alterations. Only problem is that its yellow

I remember a lot of stuff from back then. In 1960, there was not a Plymouth Valiant. Valiant was a separate marque within Chrysler. In 1961, it became a Plymouth.
