Default I’m officially a home owner!!

My wife and I got together 16 years ago, and we botched our credit from the start, I was 19 she was 17…..after 16 years paying rent, we finally bought a house!! I work as a mechanic during the week and I became a Motorcycle instructor in April and I teach motorcycles on the weekends….I’ve had 14 days off since April 16, here it is September 22….busted my hump got our debts paid and credit up….

house has been completely redone inside and out, septic, electrical, all the piping, everything. Sits on 8.8 acres and I can literally hunt from my bedroom window lol. Such a great feeling. Finally I can do so many things for myself and my kids that I’ve wanted now that it’s MY home!!

For all the headaches in owning a home, I don't regret it. I've been in my house about 35 years. The city is coming out after me and I've thought about moving, but not only am I close, but not TOO close to town, I've got good neighbors. Granted, the road by my house has become a regular shortcut for most of the town people, when they don't get caught by a train, but it's still surrounded by mostly good people. I just don't park right by the road.

I live out in the sticks, on the corner of two dirt roads. I see my tractors than traffic.... It's quiet, it's peaceful, my neighbors are not real close, and I made them happy I moved in when we had a heavy snowstorm, and I was pulling them home when they got stuck. (it was like 5 degrees out, with high winds, and blowing snow.... They were VERY happy to see me. ) Been here 10 years now.

Agricultural equipment as well as construction equipment from the water department garage down the road come by all the time. That was one gripe by the "California Lady". She called the police on me when I was washing my car (Los Angeles has water restrictions, I'm 3 mile from the Ohio river), called them on a guy at the gun counter when his pistol popped out of his jacket, complained about the tractors on the road and that summer, we got a wind from an odd direction and she got a whiff of a hog farm and field where chicken guano was used as fertilizer.

I haven't seen her for a while.

Gotta love them folks. Either that, or bury them in the back yard...... Either way works for me.

While she was screaming at me, the Deputy showed up. I had a garden hose in my hand and he caught my eye and gave a little shake to say no. I did think she was getting a little overheated.
