I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know where I can get the 3d files of the dodge ram 1500? Either AutoCAD, solidworks, or Inventor?
Once again, I know it's a long shot, but I've got some ideas for stuff I'd like to design for my ram, and if I could get the ram 3d files already made up, that would save me sooo much time, and would make my job of deciding how it'd just plain look sooo much easier too...

 

Hi guys, I'm looking for a side view drawing of a 2001 Ram 1500 club cad to photo-copy or print and use my crayons on to get and idea of how to strip my Sassy Grass Green (FJ6) ram like an AAR Cuda. I'm no computer expert so I do not know how to use a CAD program or transfer a picture to a drawing. If you could help or have some design ideas I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance & Marry Whoe Whoe....LOL.

I'm not mocking anyone! Nor am I trying to insult cvec7. I'm seriously looking for an isometric type drawing of a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD club cab. I want to draw the strobe stripe on the drawing to see how it is going to look. I intend to follow the Rams body line as close as I can on the green truck in the picture and the orange Cuda is a sample. It would help explain to the graphics shop what I would like done. The pictures were posted to get + imput

third if you want that strip on go into the chop shop forum and someone will make one for you. also search its been done before.

 

try searching for 3ds files, or even game files of a truck like that, it may take a while but im sure you should eventually find one.,
i've been trying to convince a buddy of mine to model my truck exactly, but he keeps putting it off.


brad, you're talking about the cudas striping onto the ram? if so just take any side pic of both, copy and paste overlaying the cuda, delete all but the striping and then remove the overlay back to normal.

 

Yes Sinister. I will try your suggestion. I did a google search for 3D and other search engines but, came up empty handed. Ièm sure there is something out there some place. If I see something I will let you know. Thank you and have a great holiday season.

 

if you want to draw it in auto -cad then good luck. first you would have to draw it in 3-d then hatch the colors in. it would take a while, especially for some one with no back ground, your best bet would be having somone do it in solid works. that is because it starts 3-d it would still take a long time and about 6000.00 for the program
