Was driving my dads truck yesterday and it has 542,000km (337,000 miles) and it still runs like the day he bought it new. 1998 1500 5.2L 4x4. Motor has never been touched and transmission was rebuilt once. Shows NO signs of age.

 

since my last post on this thread my 99 1500 4x4 318 has hit 305k km and has now been sittin in my driveway waiting for a top end rebuild . why did dodge have to put a steel lower intake mated to a aluminum upper intake manifold lol

 

reduce weight.

stuff like that has been done forever... all the way back to the chevy 427 putting the first aluminum heads on an iron block.

 

Just rolled 88,000 miles and runs perfect, especially after Hughes plenum and a tune up.

 

I have 188,000 on mine now........

 

As of now, 104k miles

 

Well the body has about 208000, but the motor has 700 miles and the trans has around 4000

 

418,000 original engine trans rebuilt 4 times front end rear end original. Still runs great uses no oil. I bought it new and its still serves me well. 98 5.2 4x4 extended cab 1500
