Default Rocky Mountain High

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 4x4 bought in 2001 used with 15k miles. Replaced heads at 275k, regular maintenance throughout its long life. Always has had braking problems, won't lock up. Steering wobble, drifting, rear tranny seal leak through weep hole at 300k. Rear wheel bearing noise or rear tranny bearing or isolate noise, or rear differential bearing(s). Replaced steering gear with reman. Did top engine overhaul when replaced heads due to crack in head(s)re: wouldn't pass air care Colorado emission test. Replaced front wheel bearing assy.'s and front ujoints twice at 200k and 300k. Added headers replaced old ones and entire exhaust system once. Heater core replaced once at 175k. Replaced front stabilizer bushings 350k. Replaced radiator 275k, r&r tranny fluid every 25k miles. tranny bands adjustment also at 25k intervals. flush tranny fluid at tranny oil cooler every tranny filter/fluid replacement. Truck now has 365,000 miles and more repair maintenance ongoing.

My Dodge Ram was stolen in 2024, in Lakewood, Co along with all of my ladders for window cleaning business, window cleaning tools, poles, screen repair, all hand tools for home repair business, and my ability to make a living. I have been gifted a 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup, 4.7v8 flex fuel, 4x4, auto transmission 545RFE, The poor Dakota has not been serviced in years, it is in limp mode now. Awaiting an estimate for repair for tranny. I'm not going to try the repair myself with my son and son in law. On 4/18/2026 we did service the tranny filter, fluid and flushed tranny completely. I'm soon to be 78 years young now and making a living by window cleaning customers for the past 28 years along the front range of Colorado. I want to thank Hey You for all of his help addressing issues of so many people because I have read them and the posts have helped me immensely.

487452 miles on it.24 valve. Only major thing that ever went wrong was the injector pump at about 220000. And new ring gear in rear. I guess everyone knows about the cheep interior.

Default 1995 extended cab Ram 2500 4x4 diesel Manual 5spd

Holy Grail Truck
Purchased new October 1994. Miles 256,000. All is well for most part.
Dash board has cracked so I have carpet cover on it.
Replaced fuel shut off 2 times. The third time it failed I replaced it with manual fuel shut off cable. Works great.
Replaced clutch at 163,000. Pull 30 ft hay trailer and 32' 5th wheel trailer.
Love my Ram!

Default 337,000 and going strong!

Everything is functional (even the wiper delay).
my son and I have put a lot of work into this great pld truck:
360 swap, full suspension rebuild, 2” blocks on rear leafs, torsion bar about 3/4 cranked with lift keys, fiberglass wrapped Pacesetter shorty headers, 2 1/2” dual cats out of LS7 truck, obnoxiously loud mufflers, 31” Wrangler Authority ATR’s.
just picked up a headliner backer board. Gonna recover and install with overhead console from ‘96 Dakota ($30 at wrecking yard, been looking for 2 years).
Fiberglass camper shell with full length roof rack, got a matching rack to put over the cab with some LED “blinders”.
coming soon: full body covering with Upol Raptor (thinned for a smoother texture) turquoise main color with black fender flares and rocker panels. Maybe a shaker hood too.

Just rebuilt 47RH, Sonnax parts/upgrades, rebuilt the transfer case as well. Differentials next, going down to a 3.73 gearset, add limited slip to front.
