Default Warning: Dont buy AutoZone U-Joints....

well last summer i did a full front end build....did u-joints, axle seals, bearings all the fun stuff....

Well ive done some good off-roading since then, but only 2-3 of the times ive been have i really had to hammer on it.....

So i went out for my weekly fluid inspection for the truck.....i was checking the front diff, and i looked at the u-joint, and it looked crooked.....moved the yokes, and it had alot of play in it....checked the other side....same thing, lots of play.....but the thing is, i dont have any squeeks or clunks....so if i would have went off-roading like i was planning today, it could have been disaster.

All in all these U-joints are 8 months old, and they literally have about 6K miles on them...and they are blown...So DONt buy any autozone u-joints, or you'll be replacing them soon......get Moogs...i have warentee on these u-joints but screw that, they are JUNK.

AutoZone is for buying light bulbs and car wash, not car parts. I wouldnt think that anything Moog is better either. Although TheBigRedOne will argue it to hell and back, most of their stuff is crap anymore.

Yea, the Precisions are Federal Mogul too. So I thought the MOOGS were no longer made.

Anything with Duralast badge on it, I wouldn't put it on my car nor recommend to my Customer.
Moog is not bad, Most of the time i see them last Just as long as OEM parts.

But I have to say, Autozone have the Biggest inventory compare to other Part store, especially hard to find parts aftermarket.

I get them at a drive shaft shop near me. Everyone knows they are good, problem is they are not easy to get like other brands.

internet...

i think these are the right one's for our trucks, however - they are non-greasable. the Precision greaseables are the same big heavy body.
