Default MPG CONCERNS

I have a 2000 Dodge 2500 4x4 and have had it for about a year and a half now. I am getting 4mpg in the city and 8-10 on the highway!Is this comparable to anyone elses?No codes, I have 295/75R16 and a4.10 gear ratio.

Dern bo...not too sure whats up with your rig but some things i might would do:
[ul][*]Add a fuel system cleaner to your next tank of gas[*]Make sure your tire pressure is correct[*]Replace air filter (or clean it if you've got a K&N )[*]Use the A/C sparingly[*]Change the oil regurally[*]Use cruise control[*]Aviod having windows down...(increases aerodynamic drag)[/ul]
But all in all, there honestly is no reason whyyour truck should be getting 4mpg city...i could NEVER afford that man. Hope these tips helped you.

also try engine restore next time you change your oil.... it helped me....... oo and check your fuel lines you never no

This searchwill give you more information on how to attain better fuel mileage out of a Dodge Ram than you could ever find on the internet after HOURs of searching

Do you experience pinging? What about oil usage? Sorry to say this guys, but 4 mpg in the city?? There's bigger fish to fry than checking tire pressures.
