can you fab a plenum plate?
I've looked at APS precision and 84$ for a piece of aluminum seems pretty steep to me. It seems like it's just a flat piece of aluminum. I would think it would be pretty easy to take the original pan and make a new one out of aluminum. What does everyone else think? Am I being a little bit to brave?
I've looked at more pictures of it. It looks easy. I'm going to try it a week or two. Does anyone have an old one lying around they could trace for me and then scan in to a computer? That way if I can't do it I don't have the thing ripped apart and have to wait for a plenum to be shipped.

It's not worth. You want to know why cheap alluminum would be about 50$. At the price I might as well just buy the plenum already comleted. Unless I can find scrap somwhere I'm ordering the plenum already done.
well i thought i was going to impress you by sending you my original plate, buts its been thrown out.
here's a suggestion. buy a new belly plate gasket and use it as the pattern. drill the holes just a tad oversize to allow for a little bit of off-location error. the plate is actually kind of small, about 14 x 10
