Hey guys I recently purchased a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 QuadCab 2wd. I am BADLY in need of new tires because mine are shot. I will also need a new front driver's side rim since there is a lot of damage on it. My question is; do you think that the 3rd gen wheels will fit on my truck? I am including a link to the for sale ad for the rims/tires I am thinking about. Please give me any info you may have. I need to know if the bigger size rims will give me clearance issues. Yes ... 3rd Gen wheels will your truck. There are people here running them right now. The bigger rims just mean you'll need to buy tires with a bigger hole to fit them.

I've seen a couple 2nd gen. trucks around here (wisconsin) with the 3rd gen. rims on em and I think they look awesome.

Mayfair over in the cummins section has third gen 8 luggers on his second gen. Looks pretty sweet.

 

Does he have 8lug wheels on a 5 lug setup? Because mine is a 5 lug setup.

What lug configureation does your truck have Mayfair? Is it a 5x5.5 setup? (ie- you are using only 5 of the supplied 8 holes)

 

no mayfair has a diesel truck w/ 8 lug axles, they were just stating he was using 3rd gen wheels. u need some from a half ton truck
