Default Removing the PCM

Just to start another thread instead of stealing Silvers, is it necessary to remove the 3 plugs when I go to remove the Jet chip? It is in the plug closest to the driver's side. The instructions from Jet say to remove the PCM from the firewall, then take out the plug on the right, put the Jet in, then the plug, then put the PCM back on. Why do you have to remove the PCM from the firewall to begin with? Can't I just unplug it from where it is?

I don't see why you would need to remove it from the firewall. Everytime I have had mine off, I remove the plugs before I remove it from the firewall. If all you need to do is remove the plug, then why bother removing the PCM from the firewall.

Yeah I will be removing the Jet chip, driving the truck around to hear the ping situation without it, and then try out the hypertech. Now, where are these clips I should watch out for?

Lol, question: how do you remove the plug? What do you have to do with that little tab in the middle? Lift it up?
