Engine Restore
I've seen alot of post about the engine restore that you dump in during an oil change. Has anyone had leaks develop after using it? I used it once on my bronco and I had to replace the rear main afterwards because it was leaking so bad. Almost a quart a week. Should I be worried about this?
ford uses a rope type rear main seal
the neon uses a thermoplasict rear main seal
I have never seen a good mechanic in a bottle yet.
The ones that come in a bottle just try to treat the symtems but they don't fix the problem.

i have used the restore and i am very happy with the product it boosted the compression ratios and improved my gas mileage however it shouldnt have any affect on your rear main seal unless it is already leaking
Maybe I didn't word it correctly. The rear main was leaking before I used the engine restore. I wasn't expecting the engine restore to fix the leak. I actually was using the engine restore because I had a sticky valve wich was fixed by using the engine restore. However after using the engine restore I had a massive leak from the rear main. Apparently there was sludge pluggin most of the leak. I'm concerned about using it in my engine because if there is small leaks that aren't leaking due to sludge then after I use the engine restore I will have leaking. I wanted to know if any one had problems with this happening. My bronco was an 83. My current truck is an 01 I would expect that no leaks devlop on my current truck.
