[align=left]The truck was imported to canada from the states... We have to have daytime running lights up here... seems to me there is an aftermarket relay looking box on the firewall with a wire going to ground by the rad and one groing through the firewall... might be the problem...

If they are after market lights it should have the box with a bundle of wires coming out of it. They are 3 wires you should track down. The ground, the power wire, and the remote wire which should run to a switch... Thats how my old ones was. Maybe this will help you.

 

they are the stock foglights.. maybe they were just wired as daytime running lights to make the truck legal.
