Hi, the truck has factory keyless entry, but I don't have any remotes. I have read conflicting information regarding whether the dealer has to program the first remote. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

 

Shouldn't have to have dealer do it.There should be a section in the owners manual for it. Usually its like turn the key to ON five times on the fith timepress the lock/unlock button and release then turn the key off. either the lights will flash or the door locks will actuate and you are done. If it is not in the owners manual you can go to autozone with your VIN we can order you one and program it for you. The cost is $49.99 to $149.99 depending on what style, security, transponder etc... It includes the remote.
