Hello Everybody-New to the site. My name's Brandon and I have a '99 Dodge Ram 1500, with a CRACKED DASH! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with aftermarket dash products. I've been looking online at the dash covers/molds that are made of plastic and fit over original dash. I've seen some that are supposed to fit good right over existing dash, but may not fit perfectly around passenger airbag. The other is supposed to be an even better fit around the passenger airbag, and includes screw holes on dash (found on E-Bay). I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my truck, so I was hoping someone had tried one. I'd really like to know about the fit, color, material, etc. If anyone has any feedback (ANYTHING), I would REALLY appreciate it!

I have just ordered one and it was sent to me in 3 days. I think it was wholesaledodge. was just like the factory you can get same color.

I just got a replacement dash from the Dodge dealer and the mechanic that works where I used to work and I put it in in about 3 hours. It wasn't easy but the results are well worth it.

My Pa-Paw ("paw paw" for non rednecks) used pieces of plastic ruler and hot glue. Then he sold the truck to me

 

Ordered a dash cover from www.coverlaymfg.com-THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!! Put it on about 3 weeks ago, and it looks like NEW! It was easy to put on (only took about an hour or so), and it is just soft enough to allow plastic to give for heat. Fits good, just keep in mind the hardest part will be the area around passenger side air bag (on '99 RAM) . Even the people there are GREAT if you need anything. And no, I don't work there.
