What is the largest tire I could/should run on my stock 16x7 wheels? I need a tire for street and some offroad (Sand) jobsite use. Gearing is not a factor in this choice.

I now have 245/75/16's. Can I go to 265, or 285?

I can drop pressure for sand driving.

yup you can. 285/70 or 75/R16

 

yes you can and check out some bridgestone dueler revos if you wanna good day to day tire....

 

we had a customer put 305s on but they have to be balanced every oil change. but the revos are good and check out the AT/S not a good mud tire but should do pretty good for what u gotta do or u can check out the Firestone Destation A/Ts, they are a really good tire

I wanted to stop on my way home for these. I ended up with 265/75/16's. They fit fine, and seem to ride fine so far. 285's were a good bit more $, and I didn't see the need for them.

 

I'm running 305/70/16 Cooper ATR's on my 16x7 rims with no problems.

How many miles please on that setup? Stock height?

 

I've got probably 10,000 miles on them, i rotatethem usaually every oil change to reduce the chance of the chopping. The truck was atstock height till yesterday, they rub some on real sharp turns.

 

i had 265s but they looked small so i got some 285 mud kings now
