I have a Jasper Tranny with about 40000 miles on it and it does alot of hard shifting (upshifting), should I attempt to adjust the bands? Is this normal on a Jasper re-built? Is it risky adjusting the bands on my own?

I don't to sound dump, but what is a jasper trans???? You should have a 44RH or 46 RH 1990 thru 1994, 1995 up would be 44RE or 46RE unless you have diesel then it would be a 47RH or RE.

 

jasper transmission is a remanufactured...and if this guy is so worried they have a 36 MONTH/75,000 MILE WARRANTY .. take it back to who ever installed it and have them do the work cause if you temp to do this yourself , you mite void the warranty

 

I am out of the warranty period, that is why I asked for advice.
