Default Will not shift out of first at WOT

Would replacing the Governor Pressure sensor and Governor Pressure solonoid fix the problem of not shifting out of first at WOT? I have tried adjusting the TV cable and this doesn't help.

If anyone has the solution to this problem you will be my hero for life!![/align]

Do you have a governor pressure code? Try manual shift low, 2nd, and 3rd / od. If it up shifts then I would replace the governor and transducer, If it don't maybe a valve body or seals.I would also ck the fluid level too.

No, I don't have any codes. So what you are saying is to run it up to where it should be shifting at WOT and then manually shift it?

I really appreciate your response. I have searched and searched for the answer. It seems that when I find a post concerning this, the person doesn't ever come back with what they found out to be the problem.

Well I test drove it trying the manual shift. If you are driving normal it will shift manually fine, but if you are WOT in first then shift to second it stays in first until the rev limiter takes over (I shifted it from 1st to secondat about 3500 rpms). I have my TV cable set where the shifts are just slightly firmer than the stock setting. Before I even messed with the cable it was doing the same thing though. I still haven't checked the fluid level yet.

Fluid levels are fine and the fluid was a good color with no burnt smell.

I replaced the Governor Pressure switch and sensor and still have the same problem. The TV cable is adjusted to where is should be. Anybody got any more suggestions? Thanks!
