It's time to step upinto a D-60 son...because no matter how you much you polish a turd...

But if your a glutton for punishment, or have masochistic tendencies, give Eric a call.

Well i'm not really a glutton for punishment but I just don't have the funds to do an entire swap out.Currently i'm running 33.12.50 15's and it would be hard to find 15 inch 6 or 8 hole rims and then the front and rear would be mismatched.I'd have to change both axles in order to get the gears to match, then I'd have to sell my brand new mickey thompsons that I just paid over $800 bucks for would'nt I?

Erics kit might extend your axle life significantly with your setup(locker). It allows the innards as shaft to free wheel under no load conditions.

Still, if you end up snapping that third or forth chrome shaft...a D60 swap will seem cheap. Been there, seen that.

Tech tip...want to keep your 9.25 with your d-60 front? Find a 3/4 ton Van 9.25 axle and steal the shafts out of it. They have 8 bolt hubs. You may want the bigger brakes too...

Thanks that helped alot. Here in downeast Maine Ford isthe truck of choice for most and it's hard to get reliable info for Dodge stuff! That just makes it that much more fun when I havta tow em home. LOL!! Knock on wood I've never broke while out wheelin and I'm trying to keep it that way.Gonna go check out Eric. Found a 1 ton dodge same year as mine that was rolled and can probably pick it up for less than 3 gran.Gonna go check it out and see if the axles were hurt.
