your going to put your suspension into a bind if you add 2 inch spacers on top of the coils. Also most suspension lifts level out the truck by not lifting the rear as much as the front. usually 1.5 inches. As far as i know the biggest you can go without getting new control arms and a new trackbar is 3". with a 3" lift you should be able to stuff some 33x12.5 tires without any issues. You may be able to fit 35's depending on the backspacing of the wheels....but i'd just go with 33's becuase 35's may look stuffed in my opinion...

I have had the Skyjacker 2" (D201k) and now the Skyjacker 3", and would suggest you just go with 3". The 2" kit is good, but if you install the AAL, you are not level at all. The AAL that comes with the 2" kit is the same one that comes with the 3" kit. If you like the racked look, then 2" is what you want. If you want level, then 3". Both are equally easy to install, though the 3" coils is a little harder to stuff in then the 2" coil, but I still got it in with only disconnecting the sway bar and the shock.

Do not put a 2" spacer on top of a 2" coil without changing your drop pitman, trackbar, and control arms. otherwise, you will screw up the front end geometry. 3" is as high as you should go with just doing coils and AAL. Beyond that, and you need other parts to make it work correctly.

With my 3" lift, I currently run 285/70/17. You could also run 285/75/16, assumeing you have 16" rims. I think 285's look small though. I have fit 35x12.50R17's with no rub, but it is very close. I also have the off-road edition rims which have less backspacing then the stock steel wheels, so I am able torun a wider tire with them. I think you should be able to run 33's, 285's, 295's, and maybe even 305's with 2"-3" of lift with out much rub. The 33's will probably rub the most since they are going to be the widest.

In stock form I ran 305s on my stock rims without any rubbing even at full stuff and turn. I now have a 3" SJ and 35s on black steel streetlocks. Had to trim some plastic and a seam on the back of the front fenders. Now, no rubbing at all.

well i am going to save for the 3in. now they have two packages, one it looks like you get whole new rear leaf springs, the other is AAL new coils and sawy bars i believe? which one should i go wtih?so with the 3in lift you boys think 35's would be alright? i dont want it too packed in there and no problems with rubbing. i do have 16in rims if this helps.im thinkin 285's in the dick cepek fun countrys.

thanks a lot for your input y'all

The 3" kit I have is D301k. Very simple kit. Coil springs for the front, AAL for the rear.
35's will looked stuffed on 3" in my opinion, and you will probably rub with stock 16" rims.

With the 3" and 35s, you'll rub on the front fender wells. It's just some plastic trimming and if you have big lug tires, the pinch seam on the back of the fender has to be 'adjusted' out of the way. But, it all looks good once done.
I've talked to guys with the FC tires and they don't like them. They preferred the BFGs over them.
Shocks, I liked my Trailmaster SSVs. I've heard that the IASs do really well. Bilsteins as well.
