Default Help Y'all....

Hey everyone. I know that no one likes talking about common problems with Dodge trucks, but I need to know. I am in the market for a 1999 - 2002, 4x4, extended cab pick-up. Can you please provide some insight on what is good and what is bad.

I am not extremely familiar with the Dodge line, so if you need more info, please let me know.

Thanks everyone.

U-joints, Front hubs, Front axle, Rear-end, tranny, fuel pump, radiator, water pump, plugs, wires, rotor bug and dist. cap, etc. Just a few that I have replaced.....i'm not trying to scare you off!! The only problems i am aware of that are very common with 2nd gen. rams is the fuel pump and transmission. If you need anything or have ?s, let me know

Don't forget about rust! LOL My tanny had a valve go out on it once and it's been fine since then besides having it flushed twice already! The fuel pump went out on mine before I even owned it as well.

Your plenums probably bad to. The engineers decided to attach a steel plate to the aluminum intake manifold and they both have different expanding temperatures. so that destroys the gasket between em. so youll just feed your engine oil and plug up your cat :P you can order a new plate and gasketon the internets

Tranny, plenum, and Heater core are, IMO, the most common question on this site.

That and performance mods. Also steering on these can stand some improvements. Just atry to buy it cheap enough to allow for the things mentioned in above posts.
