the part i dont get is what keeps the high beams off when you turn on the low beams??? if you connect the two together, you will still be sending volage through the high beam circuit when you turn just the low beams on. Or is there something I am missing.

Only thing I can guess is the low beams are on a relay and when you power through the switch it closes the relay and the low lights come on. When you flip to high beams it opens the switch and sends power through the dimmer switch to the bright headlights. By jumpering between that wire and the wire that controls the relay it supplies power to the relay closing it again and making the low lights come on. I am probably totally off on this but it is the only thing I can figure.

Ok I did mine this morning. On my 01 I had 2 light green wires without a stripe. One seemed a little larger gauge but not much. But it was almost a shinier green. The other green looked flat or faded. I guess I got lucky on the first pick. It worked. The other wire is Violet with a white stripe.

Got any pics of them.
Sorry I didn't. I thought about it when I was doing it, then, voila, I was done! I had to get to a hockey game so I had to get it back together pretty quick.

As far as I understand, the switch (most likely through a relay like Lightninram said) will send a signal to low beams to stay on or shut off. Regardless of any other lighting going on. It's just that the way they set it up from dodge, they set it up to disconnect when the high's come one. By tapping the two wires, you basically just bypass that specific relay, thus allowing the lows to stay on all the time.

Simply said, I don't know exactly either, I'm no electrical engineer. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...or uh...this just worked. Thanks to whoever discovered it!

So that took all of 5 min to do lol. Anyone figure out how to make it so the foglights on the sports will stay on in high?

Should have the same relay placement as the SLT models. Closest to the drivers fender. Jumper wirethe two closest connectors to thefender on that relay. There is a thread on here for more accurate description. Or I will post up later in a hurry now.
