How bout it fellas. New member here, but definately not a newbie to the car biz. Been building motors for 10 yrs, and just purchased my first Dodge.

Is anyone running an aftermarket shifter in their truck? I'm looking for something not necessarily shorter in length, but the throw itself. This thing has like 10 feet between gear gates lol

Any pointers is appreciated. Thanks

 

i know theres one out there but its kinda pricy. i agree though the throw on this thing sucks

 

i bought the hurst shifter for the dakota since they dont make one for the ram it bolts right up to the trans though and works good the shift is atleast half as much from side to side mabe 4 inchs and up and down mabe 3 its alot diffrent i would go with that

Scott, do you have any pics of what the shifter looks like in the truck? Also, do you have to lean down to reach your shifter with that Hurst?

np i just bought it to see if it would work and i have had it on there for like 6 months now and havent had a problem yet takes alittle getting use to finding gearsbut after that its good u goto reach a little bit but it isnt bad at all and i ran it though the factory boot looks almost factory
