I like my highflow Magnaflow cat, part# 94037. Made a noticable difference at high rpm.

I installed a MagnaFlow and it blew apart within a year and blew out my Flowmaster too...
My buddy works at a muffler shop and installed just an aftermarket generic cat and a new Flowmster, no problems since
I was told it could have been my headers...[:-]

Order and picked up from Canadian Tire (you canadian guys and gals know the store) a Maremount converter #652016 and a S/S Magnaflow muffler#14326 (21/2" in and out).
I just want single exhaust. The exhuast is original with 175,000 kms.(109,375 miles)
Getting it installed on tuesday, I'll let you know how it works.
Wish me luck

Here is another option; so far I am pleased over stock... Check out Jeg's

Told through the O2's via the ECU, it'll sense no gases change between the pre O2 cat vs. the post O2 cat triggering a code requesting a MIL.

Hi Ramman18, I knew the cat was gone cause it was rattling and when I and the mechanic were under and just pounded with the palm of our hands it rattled.

So Fox, you got a engine light / code and Kayak you just heard it rattle. I'm wondering if mine is still ok then because I have no codes, and there's no noise from it. I tried banging on it and succeeded in just hurting my hand. The whole y-pipe and cat was as solid as the frame so I don't know how you can just hit to make it "rattle"??

Well, the catalyst inside breaks down and stars to crumble. this is the rattling you can hear and when it finnally breaks up it will plug up the outlet of your converter and in the worst casestall your engine
