what size of tires are you wanting to put on your truck? does it have a lift or not? what kind of driving do you do, mostly street or tight trails...???

i would stick with 8's unless you go to a tire that is 15" or wider. your 285's will have the sidewalls bulge outwards and the tread very small if you go with 10" rims

4.5 inches of back spacing will make the tires stick out that perfect amount. or your can go with something like 4" for a little more...i believe the stockers have 5 or 5.5 inches of backspacing

I'm pretty sure stock backspacing is 5.5" so 4.5" would be an inch further out
