On my '04 Mazda 3you can't get anything down the filler neck after about 5-6 inches so gas can't be siphoned out. My question is, can you siphon out of the RAM? If so I may invest in a lockng cap.

 

i got a locking cap about a year ago, when gas prices went above 3.50 a gallon. it works great, but i haven't ever tried siphoning from my tank.

 

I use one, not only for people siphoning, but fore people that would put **** down there... It works great, just make sure you lube it when you first get it, mine was a pain to get open, but i lubed it once and its been perfect.

There is a "ping pong ball" type device in the filler neck of the Ram that prevents people from being able to get a siphon hose in there to siphon out gas.

 

Cool, cause that's the only reason I'd get one.

 

the putting stuff down there is the reason id get one.

 

ive got an alarm in my truck and i took the wire that goes to the hood pin and ran it to the fuel door and put a 2nd hood pin there so id the litle door is opened the alarm will go off

my concern isent pepole syphening gas out its some 15 year old punk with nothing better to do than pour something down there, if he were to ever try it my alarm would go off and he would half to answer to my baseball bat lol
