Well, it's dark now, or I would. I planned my whole evening around watching Ward take the Last Busch race at Daytona, but it's raining like a pig there. It's a tight fit, but the angles are all right for flex and bounce. My biggest concern is that, when the tranny or xfer needs to be replaced, those fittings are gonna be tight and stucklike a bull in a sheep.

The most straightforward way
to get more torque at 2000 rpm
is to raise the compression ratio
and switch to higher octane gasoline.
There are also good 'side effects'
in that fuel economy also goes up with higher CR
and part-throttle response becomes more crisp.
I can repost the backpressure article from Australia
that did its tests on a Ford 5L V8
but David Vizard has a longer and more comprehensive
article about the subject:

This isa description of the Pacesetters from Krc. I am assuming thatit was a 5.9 that was dyno'd.
1 3/4" primaries, 3" collectors for the 2wd Ram truck. Full ceramic coating inside and out, polished with gaskets and bolts. We gained 33ftlbs of torque on the DTS dyno using them over the 1 5/8" Hookers we use on the Dakotas. These are for the Ram only.

My truck really came alive with the Superchips 91 octane setting. I assume that happened because the ignition timing was advanced. So, in general does advancing the ignition timingincrease 2000rpm torque?
