Default How much power do stock Indy Rams put to the wheels?

Well I am big into paintball and I frequent this one PB forum very often and they have an automotive section and I am always in there. I am getting bashed left and right by people saying that the engine in my Indy Ram probably doesn't put anywhere near 200 hp down to the wheels. The people who are bashing me are mostly import guys or dodge haters so I know their statements are biased but I just want to double check.

Thanks, Kevin.

I believe he said he's getting about 210-213 rwhp but thats with intake, exhaust, and whatever else he's added to it.

with mods i have in my sig, and a poor second gear pull while running rich as anything in 88deg weather with high humidity, i pulled 213 to the wheels. i never pulled stock, but with my mods iv dropped quite a bit in the 1/4, so id assume its a little bit more power

if i remember correctly you said you had a v10 in your indy, if you do thats thevts or something like that and thats a whole diffrent truck completly. (only 2 were built i think)

You'd be lucky to put down more than 200 to the tires, imho. 245 at the crank, figure about 17-20% loss or so. 250hp Legacy GTs frequently dyno about 190 to the tires, but they're AWD.

Hmmm must have been someone else who told you that, I have a ram like yours. I thought that it would put down 200 hp but oh well.

When i dynod the guy said that 2nd gen rams seem to have about a 30% loss. so 245 = @ 172 according to him. Dont worry though, its never been about hp...its all about the torque. remind your rice buddies that you have more torque at the wheels than they have at the fly. (for that matter hp as well lol)

Maybe you could have a pulloff. Vehicles rear bumper to rear bumper connected with a chain. In the safest manner possible of course. See who can pull who.

Indy/SST bone stock tend to be in the 185-190rwhp range from what Ive heard over the years or 26-27% loss roughly through the driveline.
Never dyno'd mine till I had all the bolts ons n some mild eng mods (270rw)

My buddy was on the chassis dyno with his Indy on Saturday just past.
His tranny has built up 48re internals(5gear planetaries/extraclutchs etc etc)and probablyhasabout 30-31% drivetrain loss.
Put down 440rwhp, so we figure his 408 for about 600-605hp crank now. Only had 1.5rr on it at the time so should make a couple more hp with the 1.6rr on the intake valves (leaving 1.5rr on exh). Pretty good #s for 11.7cr NA on 94 pump gas [8D]
