Default Suspension Lift Kit...?

Hey yall,

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 2x4. I was wondering if ya'll knew of any cheap suspension lift kits I could buy...but not too cheap that it's a piece of crap. Haha. I'm thinking about 4in...?

well if you want something cheep but not crap id say go with a 3 in lift, with coil spacers in the front, and add-a-lead/block combo the beauty about 3 in and smaller lifts is you dont half to change any steeting components, brake lines, track bar, or sway bar also with 3 in its pusing it but you can get away with out doing the shocks ither but id recomend changing them anyways (especially if there the crap stock ones) check out a cupple sites linked on the side (ive never used them but pepole seem to recomend them) ive got a 3 in procomp lift in mine it was cheep and i like it i went with rancho shocks thow cuz the procomp ones arnt that great here is there site http://www.explorerprocomp.com/

well depends on what number is befind the 285, 285 is the width, the next number say 75 is the % of with that is the hight then the next number say 16 is the rim so say its a 285/75/r16 that means its 285 mm wide 75% of 285 mm tall (so 213.75mm tall) and a 16 in rim

so a
255/65/r16 = 30.6
285/70/r16 = 31.7
285/75/r16 = 32.8***

but
305/65/r16 = 31.6
305/70/r16 = 32.8***
305/75/r16 = 34.0

and
315/65/r16 = 32.1
315/70/r16 = 33.3***
315/75/r16 = 34.6

if i were you id stick around +/- the 33 in mark so it all depends on how wide you want them, the ones marked with *** are the ones i would use

Since its a 4x2 with a 3" lift I think 33's might be max, but I could be wrong.
