If you have a 5.9 engine with a 46RE trans, it has electronic govneror and a transducer. And those are on the valve body along with a 3/4 shift solenoid. But if you have a 5.7 engine you will have a 545RFE transmission. shifting is done by a solenoid pack thats also on the valve body.

Default & a518 in 93 350 360

Purchased van at 60 k miles and trans went out.
From what I can find, the manufacturer jus
punched the hydraulic parts out- no machine
work and tollerance was very sloppy?

Did they improve on this when placing a
remanufactured one? What is the best:
remanufactured, rebuilt, renew?
Evidently this is the 727 with an added
overdrive( too small to use for hauling)?
Is there any revision(s) from those who
have owned this particular transmission?
Converter lockup revisions? What kind
of relay for emcc(tcc). It seems to 'shift'
when one punches the button(lited off -
unlighted on) and if the above relay is
missing what effect does that have?[sm=badbadbad.gif]
