Truck dies
My new daugher in law has a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 6 cylinder automatic. Her truck has been dying on her and she is afaid to drive it. It has me stumped as well.
When she pulls up to a station to fill up with gas, once she is filled, she starts the truck puts it in drive and it dies. If she lets it sit for a few minutes it would start back up but now it has gotten worse and won't start. Where would you look for the problem? The battery and alternator have been replaced with no luck.

Test the fuel pump. Put a pressure guage on the fuel line and make sure its getting fuel. Can you hear the pump when you turn the key to on (not started)? It should prime. Then once running you should be able to hear it if standing next to the bed of the truck. Check that and get back to us.
I used to work at a gas station. You would be suprised how many trucks or cars stall when the gas cap is not on tight enough try truning it till it clicks next time you fill up. If it dosnt click when it gets tight the vent inside is broken....Iv seen it hapen quite often. hope that helps
May sound stupid but what about the fuel filter. Just fought with my tractor that was doing that. Would always run like **** right after I filled it up. Turns out I was stirring up the sediment in my tank and clogging the filter. Changed the filter and flushed the tank and was good to go.

Does it only after you fill the tank? how about after you have driven for a while? I know this may sound dumb, but when filling the tank do you keep topping off the tank. If you do, what maybe happen, is the evap canster could filling up with gas causing a vapor lock in the fuel system. And did ck for any codes?
