Knock ?
I used Marvel's Mystery oil in a motorcycle back in '85 on day, it loosened so much sludge in that engine it wasn't funny. It even even opened up a mild leak. That stuff worked.
NOTE: My rig does tap for a half a second when I start it. Either I didn't notice it or the oil filter's the cause or the 15-40 Rotella. I'll try a different oil filter soon and report back.

I used MMO in my truck also. I put it in the crank case and just drove the truck for around 500 miles i think. Changed the oil myself and was actually scared of all the crap that dropped into my drain pan when the oil was drained. I can truly say that MMO does a pretty good job at cleaning the gunk out. After all that was done I couldnt tell any difference but at least that crap wasnt in my engine.
I appreciate all the replies and advice. Today I changed the oil filter (the oil only has less than 300 miles on it) so I left it alone. It had a Fram filter [:'(]on it and I replaced it with a Purolator Premium Plus (topped the oil off with a little Lucas oil additive). Tomorrow I will see if any effect when I start it up cold. Interesting what you say about the MMO. I'm thinking now I may just wait and do some sort of a flush right before I remove the oil pan for cleaning.
I've read all the posts and articles about oil filters. I've always used Fram without issue and just switched to the Napa Spin Flow last oil change due to what I read. This is the first time my oil light has ever come on. I don't know if it's related to this particular filter or just by coincidence. At my next oil change I'm putting the Fram back on to see if that is what it is. If the light goes away, I'm sticking with Fram.
That flush stuff makes me nervous that it would open up a leak on my 170k mile engine.

Changed from the Super Tech to a Mopar filter and this morning no tapping.
I was the filter. No more super techs on the Ram, just Mopar ($5 Wally) or another name brand.
I may have just had a bad ST cause I used them all the time on other rides.

Put the Purolator Premium Plus on the other day as per my previous post and seemed to help the cold start-up noise. Very slight now and my oil pressure definately reads higher when cold and slightly higher when warm. Also have a Mopar filter I will try soon. I think I'm just tinkering and playing now. But it's fun.
