Default Do you still have your spare?

My truck came without the spare or jack. I know a lot of guys take the jack storage out for subs and spare tires out for exhaust, hitches, and other reasons. Thanks for your time!

I removed my jack &bracket, spare tire and crank assemble that holds it from my Indy in 98. (wt reduction) Picked up a few bolts, nails over the years with the wide tires on it but never had one go right down. Always able to get home or to a garage to patch it.

My 4x4 I keep the spare in the bed cause the crank assemble siezed up 2yrs ago when I went to swap it. Jack is still under the seat though I would never use it.(bottle/wobble jack)I would limp it home if close and use my 3.5ton jack or just go to a gas station or Walmart if I had to for a plug.

One time I got a flat was on the way home from the track. Coming down the escarpment it was under construction and one of my trailer tires went down fast. Pulled into a Walmart 1mile after noticing and used one of their shop jacks to lift it and remove it. They patched it and I reinstalled it. Had 3 cars on their hoists but allthe mechanics and customers were all out in the parking lot watching/gawking. (Indy looks good on its matching trailer) Had me out in 30min flat!

I just have no desire to be without my spare, it's never been on the ground and I hope to keep it that way.

I got the spare 245/70 or 75/16 in my garage collecting dust , i got 285/75/16's on now, and a 265/75/16 around here somewhere for the sparelol [sm=icon_quiet.gif]
You think i need a bigger jack? cause my truck sits a lil higher? (stock suspension)... plus i need a new tire iron cause my aftermarket rims have smaller holes...anyone know where i could pick one up?

nither.. carrier crank broke.. and i dont have a 5th 35" tall tire anyway...wouldnt work to well with 3 35's and one stock 30...

stock jack is in the bed tool box used as a removable seperater to keep things in their place in the alum. "catch-all" storage center

mounted my spare LHS right between the wheel well and tailgate.
jack is in the toolbox.

i moved it as the tire would rub against the exhaust tubes underneath which in turn would ruin a perfectly good spare.

Still have a spare, but not the factory spare. Do still have the jack but is sitting in the garage. Doesn't work with my 3" lift so I carry a small floor jack in the tool box.

I've got the factory spare, jack, and "tool kit".

Wanna hear bad luck, went and bought new wheels on a Friday night, scheduled to get new tires somewhere else on Saturday to put on the truck. After picking up the wheels on Friday night, damn rear tire went flat about 3 miles from home.

Factory jack sucks, used it once and then bought a 6-ton bottle jack.
