Default 2001 Plenum gasket question

I remember reading ina post that Dodge changed the plenum gasket on some of the 2001 producedRams whe they "discovered" the problem. Does anybody know exactly when this happened? I've tried searching the forums, butsearching plenum gasketturns up way too many results tosort through. I'm trying to figure out ifI need to worry about this or not.

And where exactly on the truck does it give you the"born on date," and "place of birth?"

man you guys are no fun... I say yank it appart and put a plenum pan on it anyway, while your in there cut the runners down some to give it more top end.

the benifit of doing this is you will become way more familiar with your truck, you'll solve a problem that will most likely happen anyway and you'll get a nice performance mod out of it.

There's no oil burning at all. I looked down the TB with a mirror and didn't see anything. I have a TB coming from Fastman,so I'll be checking more thoroughly then.

The reason I'm asking is I'm a school teacher and my tinker time for the year is running out quickly. As soon as school's back in session at the end of August, weekends will be spent catching up onstuff that slid during the week. Not much time for the truck.

I'll have to research cutting down the runners. I thought I read somewhere that 360 headers couldbe used as a "poor man's upgrade" to the 318's headers. Is that true? I'mabout spent out for the monthbut I could probably find a scrap yard to take some from a rear end wreck. Getting them unbolted might be a real PITA if they're anywhere near asrusty as mine are. Might need to wait on those.
