Dodge transmissions do get a bad rap. I used my stock set-up (with factory towing package)to tow a 7000 lb load 5 or 6 hours once a week for 3 years straight, all stop-and-go, no highway. The only problem I ever had was a burst radiator. Maybe I'm just lucky but I've got faith in my Dodge tranny (knock on wood).
