wow did you take things the wrong way i am not anticipating 7000 rpm, that would probably kill me and my truck, from now on if you cant answer my question DONT INQUIRE.

no reason to rev the truck that high, numbers just drop off after that. plus i have never seen a truck go past 6 grand unless you just hold down the pedal in park (but that would be complete stupidity) so that cant be it!

look bud, some people need some tough love. dont destroy your ram. if you havent done any mods and you know that there is a rev limiter then why are you askin the question? furthermore, do you know how much damage that does to an engine(assuming you have a v8) reving it that high? there are several people on this site that will help you if you have a real question. dont be so sensitive im just trying to help.

if anyone who has ever done any performance mods, then going to sit here and say that they have neveer pushed thier RAM to about 5 to 6 thousand rpm than there is no reason to put on mods UNLESS you are a hauler.

alright im sorry fcm4200 but that still doesnt answer my question do you believe that i might need new plugs, wires, and a distributer cap? thanks for the help

you dont makevery much power that high on a stock engine and the oiling system and valvetrain isnt designed for those rpm's. it probably isnt an ignition problem as much as it is your heads and cam not supplying enough air to the combustion chamber.

wow were gonna half to get a boxing ring thread soon...if he wants to rev to 6000 whats it to the rest of ya? im sure he alredy understands that its not a good thing, and im sure hes glad to know that, if he desided to keep doing it he is gonna be the one with a big bill not the rest of ya and we can all ya "told ya so"

as for your question on plugs and wires and such accel is a good name, my self i like MSD but thats personal prefrance at 67k a tune up is prob in order anyways, plugs, cap, coil, wires may fix your mis fire at WOT if not if think maby an injector is starting to get week
