do you have an alarm system? If so, that might be your problem. If not, check the wires connecting the horn, maybe they are shorting out.

is it a random type honking, or is it repetative (sp) in a constant "melody"... for lack of a better word?

Its constant like laying on th horn and holding it wide open you might say... Instead of Beep Beep its BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEP! Until i yank the fuse. It has like a mind of its own, A buddy of mine had this problem in a Dakota and he pulled the fuse too and just left it out.. never figuring out a diagnosis. Id like to have a horn when I want it, to beep at Chickys and old people but with this problem its hard!

the relays are inside the power distribution box, which is under the hood, on top of the driver side fender well. its a black box with a snap off lid. it contains lots of fuses and relays. the id's of the slots are on the underside of the lid. most (if not all) of the relays are the same part number. available at all parts stores.

My wife had the exact same thing in her car happen not too long ago. Turns out since she had an after market CD player in it, it tripped something connected to the horn that caused it to stay "wide open" as you put it. I wish I could remember what the guys said the exact problem was. Weird thing is she had the CD player in the car for about 3 years before that happened. It cost about $80 to fix it.

if you beat the wheel to turn off the horn.. its not the relay... sounds like its the pin behind your airbag... UNHOOK your battery.. and pull the air bag off.. should be 2 screws on the back of the wheel.. and you will see the horn wire.. its not a plug.. but a 'pin' looking thing going into the wheel on a spring.. it should be surrounded with plastic.. if that wire grounds out.. it will activate the horn... check that out.. i bet its in there somewhere
