Splitfires are not 'bad' sparkplugs
but they seem over-priced to me.

The NGK V-Power sparkplugs use the same technique as the splitfires
but the 'split' is on the inner center electrode rather than on the outside ground wire.

The key with nearly any sparkplug is to have sharp edges to let the spark start easily and quickly.

Splitfires and NGK V-Powers just add additional sharp edges.
