Can't get my differential housing out!
To tell you the truth I never took the 9.25 apart. I have had this experiance on an older1 ton Full Floating axle before, but since you have a semi floating c clip axle I dunno it it'll be the same. Worth a shot though.
Under the bearing caps there are the two other pieces which need to be "screwed out". They sit right on the outside of the bearing and adjust preload.
Here is a pic of the axle I did it on, the things I'm talking about are right there this guy is pointing. The thing with the holes all around it, they're on both sides.

If the 9.25 has this mark is so you can put it back to the same spot. Then stick a screw driver in one of the holes and give it a wack to loosen it up. Keep loosening it until you can get the carrier out. You have to do it to both sides. Keep track of how many times you spun it around too.
I'm prety sure the 9.25 doesn't have this though...
