ive never heard of someone stealing a spare lol... but i guess todays world it could happen

 

haha funny you should say that i had it stolen of the truck twice once in the bush, its a chev one of the ones that had the little locking plug in the hole where youd put the handle the just shoved a screwdriver in and twisted it out...got another but dident get a new locking thinggy and it was stolen from the fenced yard (still think that one was an inside job as i dont see somone throwing it over a chainlink fence) now its in the box with a cable and a lock through it...

 

I installed one on my 2001 and was not satisfied at first. The white back up lights were bright at one end and gradually diminshed in intensity-UNTIL-I rechecked my groundand redid it and after that the thing worked perfectly.
The plastic is soft enough where you can trim it with a utility knife to fit around the spare tie winch access hole.
