also can you cut the hood like that without it causing structual damage? thanks

turned out great

I took the heat shield off my Indy, haven't had any issues yet.
I would recomend puttting it back on. When I took mine off earlier this summer I noticed that the decay of the paint was accelerated on the hood. So if there are any underlying issues with paint on your truck, it may become noticable sooner rather than later.

Im actually thinking of getting another one and cutting out the hole in that and putting that back up.

As far as structural damage, I havent noticed any issues as of yet, and I wouldnt assume there would be any. After all, I did pritty much brace it by bolting the scoop to the hood.
It is torn to shreads lol, I am getting my truck repainted in the winter anyway, if worse comes to worse I buy a new one?
yea. It really sucks that even on their special edition vehicles (obviously not the viper though) they still used **** primer. Cheep american nonsense.
Agreed.

Alright, I've been waiting patiently, but enough is enough. Are you going to post pics of the finished product or what?
I agree! I want to see it all, inside the engine, underside ofthe hood, top side, blowing the doors off the competition at the track, etc. And none of the photoshop stuff, give us the raw images.

Ok ok, youve been waiting long enough. Its finally done. I bought some spray paint yesterday and decided to f'n paint it because primer looked so trashey. Its not the highest quality job, but its pritty close. Also, the gains on the highway are pritty bad ***. I went 200 miles (wildwood carshow) and back on 1/2 a tank rather than the 3/4s that it normally takes. Definately time to update the sig pic.

IndyRamMan, I would like to request that you be my mentor lol. Honestly I like your Indy more than anyones, why? Because it isn't outrageous , it is being built slowly but surely (not meant to be an offensive statement) just like I am and thats why I love it so much, not to mention that hood is badass.

lol. no offence taken.I work on it slowly becauseIm in college and well, we all know how that story goes.Anytime you need any help just ask...unless its transmission stuff, I dont have a clue about them, nor do I really want to. lol. but thanks for the compliments, Id be lieing if It wasnt partially the intent behind the scoop.
