Scoop Install thread
Today I finally started to install the scoop. Mostly started with washing for putting on the painters tape. After mesuring everything and making a chalkline where the scoop is going, I sanded and painted the scoop itself, Im only on the first coat of probabily 5. Ill throw a pic up later. Ill update in this thread on the whole project.

its "for sale" but its not gonna stop me from havin fun. im not agressively selling. I have a price out on a free renewable advertisement, and its one that ill be content with selling the truck at if someone wants it. Other than that, its mine.

Thats the hood mesured and taped off for letting me know where to drill the holes for the bolts. (dont worry, its getting fiberglassed on there as well. the bolts are just for strength)

The scoop in the second layer of primer ( yea, its a small garage, but it holds stuff and things)

The general idea (you can really see the crappy paint in this pic)

Today I made a lot of progress on the scoop. I cut both nostrils of the scoop, and finished one side completly. I bought the tray kit that will seal the throttle body to the hood, and marked off what needs to be cut and where. I made a cardboard template of the bottom side of the scoop so that I can have a perfectly accurate match for drilling the holes. Checked the clearance of everything; and lastly, threw a quick coat of primer over the freshly exposed fiberglass so that moisture doesnt get into it. I think I need about 3 more hours of fine touchup work, and Ill have it onthe hood. About an hour or two of evening and sealing the fiberglass gaps; and about another 2 hours to take off the hood and paint it all. (minus drying time). So, look to see it finished in the next week or so. HORRAY!! ITS ALMOST DONE!!
