looks pretty good. alot of poeple have adressed this problem by using a "s" bolt. i think the fastman talks about it. I just drilled a hole in my hair hat an inch closer and it fits perfect.

That bent bolt you made is what every one refers to as an s-bolt. You did the exact right thing. Pretty easy huh.

Yep, that's how everyone's been doing it.

I suggest a bigger air cleaner set up though.

Ya, no kidding. You got the room for it for sure. Use a taller filter.

You must have a body lift because that amount of space above the filter is not normal.

Yeah, I wondered about that cavern in there myself. Although the diameter of the air cleaner is smaller than the 14" one, that's a HUGE space above the lid.
I'm jealous! Had to remove my TB just to reach my distributor!
Think I would circumcise that bolt tho.LOL

I did cut down the size of the stud to match the top of the hat...I placed 2 inch body pucks everywhere...as in size...14 inch air cleaner or taller filter?
this is still experimental...I found it odd that there was a stud hole in the throttle boddy, there must be an aftermarket design for this? as for the heat issue, has anyone come across that yet?

Not dinging your work or anything, but I'm just not getting the reason behind folks wanting to use the old style air cleaner.
