Default what's everyone got for shocks in their truck and their experience with them

I got a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 v8 truck and it needs shocks but i don't know what to put in it. If i can save money and get the same performance by going with a cheaper shock i'm always up for it. Please let me know what you have and how well it works. thanks

I liked the Trailmaster SSVs for the front. I just put on Bilstein 5150s for the rear and like them too.

I run Edelbrock IAS shocks. They're pretty stiff, but I like my truck to feel like a truck.

KYB MonoMax They really help with controling the beast. I also have KYB shocks and struts on my Daytona and they are great. Found the ones for my truck online for $225 shipped....

I have Rancho RS9000XL's.
I really like the adjustabiliy with them (they are nine position adjustable) and now they are gas charged, I really like them.

edelbrock IAS's are good, as well as the bilsteins... I have had the rancho's and they are not quite as good as the others I mentioned, they are all about the same price.

Last week I installed a complete set of Heavy Duty Bilsteins from Summit Racing. I also added my Hellwig LP-35 overload springs then took my 8000 lb fifth wheel camper on a 300 mile trip. Loved the shocks as they made the front of the truck ride really nice. My wife was even impressed.

I really like my Rancho RS9000X, but will soon be replacing them with RS9000XL's.
