Might take a look at the A/Cdrain (below the silver drier can) on the passenger side firewall. I have a 97 Ram and I had the same problem. Took a section of rubber hose and attached it to the drain, then ran it down along the firewall to the bottom of the truck somewhere. Problem solved. I think somehow water was being blown backwards thru the drain hole and into the cab. Anyway, it worked for me. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help TSINGLETON....I installed a section of hose to the drain yesterday and vacuumed all the water out. Don't know if it helped yet but will keep you posted. Just by looking there is signs of it coming from there. Maybe I just notice it when it rains which is most everyday here in South Louisiana...........

If you do a search the two things you'll find are the A/C which would be in the passenger side and would probably soak most the carpet up the firewall.

The second thing you'll find is the 3rd brake light. Little did I believe that but I was having some major water leaks during the rains and so I pull the light, applied silicon and it sure seems to have done the trick. Hope this helps.

For the drivers side I'd look into the 3rd brake light like mikesjunk refered to. I had the same problem and with a touch of silicone on the third brake lightit was gone.

in my old truck i had the same issue and it was my rear window leaking it was dripping down behind the interior plastics and down to the floor boards and it never soaked the carpet in the back seat. it just saturated the front.

Rain shouldn't be getting all the way down into the HVAC box unless the drains under the cowl screen are clogged. They may be blocked off with leaves or other debris. Hope you cleaned out the drain before adding the tube.
